Do you allow Cargo Conversions to book an RV Spot?
Yes, absolutely! We welcome cargo van conversions, skoolies, and other creative rigs at Camp QYB. 🚐✨
-
Can I bring my big RV to Camp QYB? How big is too big?
We love RVs of all shapes and sizes, but there is a limit. Our RV spots can’t accommodate rigs over 45 feet, especially sites 28, 31, and 32 — those are best for RVs under that mark. Check the specs of your RV and compare with our space. Psst… Class A motorhomes and Fifth Wheels pushing 45 ft might want to double-check before booking!
-
I’ve got a Class B van. Am I good to go?
Absolutely! Class B motorhomes (aka camper vans) are perfect for Camp QYB. At 18-24 ft long and 6-7.5 ft wide, you’ll fit right in — literally. Park it, pop the windows, and relax under the Texas sky.
-
Do RV guests have access to cabin amenities?
As much as we’d love a big happy family moment, RV guests are not allowed to use cabin amenities like indoor saunas or geodesic hot tubs. But hey, you’ve got the stars, the lake, and that RV life magic.
Amenities & Facilities
-
Where can I soak and steam off the road trip?
That would be our community geodesic hot tub and sauna, cozily nestled behind Cabins 4 and 5. To use: turn the knobs on the hot tub, and for that jet-powered relaxation, press the button on the controller. Bubbles = bliss.
-
Coffee situation? Are we grinding or pod life?
☕ We keep it simple but satisfying. Each unit comes with a regular coffee pot and we toss in some pods for good measure. Morning brew: secured.
-
I brought the grill but forgot the charcoal. Help?
No worries! Dollar General is just 5 minutes away for quick charcoal runs. Need something bigger? Lowe’s in Runaway Bay is a 19-minute scenic drive away.
-
Trash bins — where are they hiding?
🗑️ Not hiding at all! You’ll find trash bins out back and up front in the common areas. Just follow the scent of good camping behavior.
Lake Life
-
Which cabins are closest to lake access?
Cabins 8 to 12 are your best bet, but Cabin 9 wins the prize for primo lake access. Bring your floaties and kayaks — the water’s calling. 🚣
Comfort Controls (A/C & Heating)
-
How do I use the A/C or heat in my space?
Easy peasy! Just grab the thermostat remote and:
- Tap Mode to switch between Cool or Heat.
- Use “+” or “–” to dial in your temp (we recommend 68-72°F).
- For heating: start in Cool mode at 70°F for 4 minutes, then switch to Heat mode at 70°F — it’s a thing with mini-splits.
- Adjust fan speed as needed (Low, Medium, High).
- eading out? Turn it off to help us conserve energy and keep nature happy. 🌿
Parking & Property Layout
-
Where can I park? Are trailers okay?
Yes, you can park right in front of your cabin — max of 2 vehicles per unit. It’s all private property, so no tow trucks lurking! Got a trailer? No problem — park it by the fence.
-
Help! I’m lost. How are the cabins numbered?
Imagine you’re facing the cabins: they go from left to right, 12 to 1. So Cabin 12 is on your left, and Cabin 1 is your right-hand side buddy. 🏡
